Towards the end of June, TAFE SA began consultation with business and the broader community in their endeavour to understand how the organisation can better meet the training needs of students, industry and the community within the Upper Spencer Gulf into the future. They are looking to increase access to training by changing how TAFE SA delivers its qualifications and short courses. All aspects of delivery, including the sites used to offer training, are being considered through the consultation process. For instance TAFE SA recognise that some community sites provide better facilities for the hands-on training TAFE SA staff deliver – including commercial kitchens in football clubs, earthmoving businesses and shearing sheds.
Individuals are being urged to think innovative and complete the 10 minute online survey at the following link http://squareholes.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_ePa1Ithln5jnCaV which will help to capture feedback.
Face to face community consultation is scheduled at the Westland Shopping Centre, Whyalla from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 4th July.
